The Sylmar Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 83-41 win over Reseda at home. Sylmar has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season.
Sylmar was led to victory by Isabella Gonzalez and Mia Ceja. Gonzalez scored 29 points, while Ceja scored 38 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ceja has scored all season. Julie Pineda was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Sylmar has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Reseda, they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Sylmar will challenge Panorama at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Panorama has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Reseda, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Fernando at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
