Ambridge took  a  29-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Blackhawk. While the Bridgers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars  7-6 in the first  quarter.
 Montour pushed their record up to 7-0 with the  win, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Ambridge,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-3.
 Everything came up roses for Montour against Ambridge when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, as the  team secured  a  48-7 victory. In that  contest, Montour amassed a halftime lead of  42-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
