Each week during the season (regular and
post), there will be a fan-generated contest to
tab weekly winners. Each winner receives a
digital award patch for their MaxPreps player page.
How does it
work? Nominees are selected from
statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may
request their free account here.
Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every
Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll.
Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day
along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many
times as they want. It's a competition.
Last week over 190,000 votes were cast! So far
this
school year over 5-million votes have been cast.

BasketballSenior had 12 points, 18 rebounds, three
blocks and three steals in an 81-24 win over Brockway and 12 points and
19 rebounds in a 65-48 loss to Warren. Averaging 12 points and 18.5
rebounds.

had 20 tackles and two TFL in a 26-23 win over Bishop McDevitt.
* Pace Prosser, Berlin Brothersvalley Boys
BasketballSenior dropped 39 points, eight rebounds,
four assists and four steals in a season-opening 59-47 win over
Richland.

* Alex Erby, Steelton-Highspire Football
Senior completed 29-of-39 passes for 340 yards and five TDs and ran for a 37-yard TD in a 42-8 win over Fort Cherry in the PIAA Class 1A state championship.
* Samaj Jones, St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) Football
Senior and Cincinnati commit completed 14-of-17 passes for 232 yards and two TDs and carried the ball 11 times for 115 yards and three TDs in a 45-23 win over North Allegheny in the PIAA Class 6A state final.
* Anthony Crews, Belle Vernon Football
Junior returned the opening kickoff of the PIAA Class 3A state championship 78 yards for a TD. Followed that with a 62-yard first quarter TD run as BV beat Northwestern Lehigh 38-7.
* Bo Bassett, Bishop McCort (Johnstown) Wrestling
Sophomore won the 138-pound title at the Walsh Ironman in dominating fashion. Won his matches via tech fall (27-12), tech fall (23-8), pin (0:36), tech fall (20-5), tech fall (24-8) and decision (5-1).
* Tiqwai Hayes, Aliquippa Football
Junior carried the ball 18 times for 222 yards and three TDs in a 60-14 win over Dallas in the PIAA Class 4A state final.
* Mikal Davis and Jabree Wallace- Coleman, Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia) Football
Senior tandem did damage in the Panthers 38-13 win over Peters Township in the PIAA Class 5A state championship. Davis, a quarterback, completed 8-of-12 passes for 184 yards and a TD and ran for 85 yards and three TDs on 11 carries, while Wallace-Coleman, a Georgia running back recruit, ran for 214 yards and a TD on 30 carries.
* Pierson Manville, State College Wrestling
Senior and Arizona State recruit won the 144-ppund title at the Walsh Ironman. Won his matches via pin (1:34), major decision (13-2), tiebreak (2-1), decision (4-3) and decision (7-2).
* Ashley Robinson, Paul Robeson (Philadelphia) Girls Basketball
Junior had back-to-back 37-point games in wins over Parkway West (42-38) and Philadelphia Electric Charter (47-26). Also had a combined 21 rebounds and nine steals in the two games.

FootballJunior completed 14-of-21 passes for 311
yards and six TDs and carried the ball six times for 110 yards and a TD
in a 63-17 win over Cumberland Valley. Leads the state with 1,059 total
yards, including 840 passing (and 14 TDs).

* Lou Swartz, West Shamokin (Rural Valley)
FootballSenior carried the ball 10 times for 309
yards and five TDs in a 52-20 win over Conemaugh Township. Also returned
an interception for a TD and had four tackles and a TFL on defense. Has
rushed for 859 yards and 13 TDs on 59 carries (14.6 yards per carry)
this season.

had 28 tackles (18 solo) and caused a fumble in a 55-29 win over
Solanco.

win over Ridgway, five goals and an assist in a 6-2 win over Brookville
and three goals in a 6-1 win over Punxsutawney. Has 64 points this
season (29 goals and six assists).

SoccerJunior has scored at least one goal in every
game this year. Had hat tricks (three goals) in wins over Holy Cross and
Gregory the Great Academy last week. Has 71 points (ranks fourth in the

SoccerAfter netting seven goals in a win over
Berkeley Springs, the sophomore had back-to-back hat tricks (three
goals) in a win over Mount Union and another win over Berkeley Springs.

VolleyballJunior had 37 kills in a 3-1 win over
Easton Area and 33 kills in a 3-1 win over Wilson. Her 343 kills this
season rank third in the state.

win over Liberty.

FootballSenior caught seven passes for 113 yards and
a TD and had three interceptions (one returned for a TD), eight tackles
and a sack in a 14-0 win over Scranton. Has 53 tackles, six TFL and
five INTs and 44 receptions for 681 yards and eight TDs this season.

SoccerSenior scored five and three goals,
respectively, in wins over Bedford and Central Mountain. Has scored 33
goals this season, which currently ranks ninth in the
state.

four TDs in a 46-28 win over Apollo Ridge. Averaged 49.7 yards per
catch. Has 32 receptions for 799 yards and 12 TDs this season.

FootballSenior eclipsed 400 yards rushing in a game
for the second time this season and went over 2,000 yards for the season
with 414 yards and three TDs on 32 carries in a 40-21 win over
Springdale. Has 2,070 yards and 17 TDs on 210 carries this
season.

second week in a row and third time this season with 320 yards amd four
TDs on 33 carries in a 36-20 win over Lower Moreland. Last week he ran
for 330 yards and five TDs on 28 carries in a 46-26 win over Montgomery.
Has 1,919 rushing yards and 22 TDs this
season.

* Ashton Kahle, Redbank Valley (New Bethlehem)
FootballSenior caught nine passes for 249 yards and
two TDs in a 26-7 win over Port Allegany and caught three passes for 86
yards and two TDs in a 44-0 win over Cambridge Springs. Has caught 58
passes for 1,211 yards and 15 TDs this season.

SoccerSenior had a goal and a goal and assist in
Class AAAA state final and semifinal wins over Conestoga and Parkland,
respectively, to finish the season with 72 points and her career with
