The Anaheim Colonists can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Magnolia 70-50. Winning may never get old, but Anaheim sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Anaheim's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Giselle Zambrano, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zambrano has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aleah McGregor, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Magnolia's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elysia Dellia, who scored 15 points. Dellia continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Teresa Martinez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Anaheim pushed their record up to 20-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Magnolia, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anaheim will square off against Century at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Century is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Magnolia, they will head out on the road to challenge Western at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
