Crawford has won three straight games at home, while Lincoln has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Colts will welcome the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Crawford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Crawford beat Hoover 12-8.

Alejandro Guzman and Abbel Martinez were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Guzman struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Martinez tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Crawford is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 10-11 otherwise. At bat, Guzman went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Martinez went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abraham Carillo-Ceron, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Crawford's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 6-1 (and 7-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Hector Fuentes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
Crawford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lincoln got themselves on the board against Kearny on Thursday, but Kearny never followed suit. They blew past the Komets 6-0. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Crawford, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.
Crawford suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Lincoln when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Will the Colts have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
