The CrossPointe Christian Academy Cavaliers will head out to  challenge the New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
CrossPointe Christian Academy will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one  run  on Monday, then bounced right back against Abundant Life Christian Academy  on Tuesday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp  18-3 win.
 Hayden Brantley looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits.

 On the hitting side, CrossPointe Christian Academy let  Gaines Casey and  Banks Casey run wild. Gaines  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple, while  Banks  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  RBI gave  Banks a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  McKennon NuNU Brannon, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 CrossPointe Christian Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .588. They are undefeated (6-0) when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, New Creation Christian Academy got the win against CrossPointe Christian Academy  by a conclusive  12-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Crusaders.
 Micah Stewart made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cade Anderson, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Luke Robinson was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 New Creation Christian Academy's victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 11-4. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record  this season.
Thursday's   matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. CrossPointe Christian Academy has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .518. However, it's not like New Creation Christian Academy struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .512. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 CrossPointe Christian Academy suffered a grim  12-1 defeat to New Creation Christian Academy  when the teams last played  on Monday. Can the Cavaliers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
