The Amador Buffaloes entered their tilt with the Sonora Wildcats with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Amador walked away with a 38-28 win over Sonora on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Amador, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the defeat, Sonora had strong showings from Adeline Hanson, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds, and Isabella Ahrens, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Amador's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. As for Sonora, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amador will face off against Calaveras at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sonora will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Argonaut at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Argonaut is ranked 575th, while Sonora is ranked 596th).
