It's playoff time, and Starr's Mill had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the M.L. King Lions with a sharp 17-1 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Starr's Mill's ninth in a row) raised their record to 23-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for M.L. King, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Starr's Mill will have a chance to go back-to-back against M.L. King: the pair will be back at it again later today.
