Purchase Line is 1-9 against Penns Manor since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Purchase Line Red Dragons will be home for the holidays to greet the Penns Manor Comets at 6:00 p.m. Purchase Line will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Penns Manor is ranked 94th).
Purchase Line's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Portage, falling 71-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Purchase Line in their matchups with Portage: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Penns Manor beat Homer-Center 44-37 on Thursday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Penns Manor has scored all year.
Purchase Line now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Penns Manor, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Purchase Line ended up a good deal behind Penns Manor when the teams last played back in February, losing 44-30. Can Purchase Line avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
