Make it nine blowout wins for the Fall River Bulldogs this season. They breezed by Etna at home to the tune of 75-32 on Tuesday. With Fall River ahead 37-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Fall River found their leader in underclassman Mylah Darnell, who scored 27 points along with six steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Darnell has scored all season. Reese Cassity was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Fall River has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Etna, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
Fall River will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Shasta comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Etna, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Braves at 7:00 p.m. Modoc presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in California (the Braves are ranked 332nd, while the Lions are ranked 810th).
