Baseball Recap: Pitman Takes a Loss

Pitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Gregori Jaguars, falling 11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Monday.

Nathan Cervantes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Pitman is 3-1 when Cervantes posts two or more runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Noah Cervantes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pitman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Gregori, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

While Pitman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
