The Ocean View Christian Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat King-Chavez Community 42-3 at home. The squad ran away with 32 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.
Ocean View Christian had a senior duo take command as Carmen Palacios scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals and Karla Meza scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Meza has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Barbeito, who scored six points.
The victory (which was Ocean View Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 10-5. As for King-Chavez Community, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Ocean View Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. King-Chavez Community is on the road again on Thursday and plays Monarch at 4:00 p.m. on February 8th. Monarch comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
