Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bernstein Dragons walked away with it. They took down the Titans 57-38 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for Bernstein as they're now sitting on five straight.
Leading Bernstein to victory were Valerie Urrutia and Odali Rivera. Urrutia scored 19 points, while Rivera scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Urrutia has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katherine Rojas, who scored seven points.
Bernstein is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Stern, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
Bernstein will face off against Lakeview Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bernstein is coming into the contest with six straight victories on the road, so Lakeview Charter is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Stern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
