On TuesdayGilroy kept up with Leigh until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Leigh Longhorns never let the Gilroy Mustangs onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Longhorns' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

They hit Gilroy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Shani Outlaw (2), Maggie Currie, and Kennadi Borg.

Leigh pushed their record up to 7-0-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Gilroy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leigh will face off against Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leland's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Gilroy, they will challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pioneer's defense has only allowed 0.1 goals per game this season, so Gilroy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
