Holy Trinity is a perfect 4-0 against ITW David Speer Academy since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Pride at 4:30 p.m. Holy Trinity will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Holy Trinity never let Rochelle Zell Jewish get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Thursday. Holy Trinity might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Matt Diaz and Cristian Zavala were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Diaz tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Zavala tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Diaz also tossed a walk, which is notable because Holy Trinity is 6-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-7-1 otherwise. At the plate, Diaz went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs, while Zavala got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Zavala has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Aiden Figueroa was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Holy Trinity is undefeated when Figueroa posts two or more runs, but 8-9-1 otherwise. Jovanni Cortez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, ITW David Speer Academy earned a 9-5 victory over Bulls College Prep on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Pride in their matchups with the Bulls: they've now won five in a row.
Johnathan Soto was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeanderso Balza, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
ITW David Speer Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .421 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Holy Trinity's record now sits at 12-9-1. As for ITW David Speer Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-2.
ITW David Speer Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Holy Trinity has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for ITW David Speer Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 4.2 strikeouts. Will Holy Trinity keep running through batters, or will the Pride buck the trend?
Holy Trinity got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against ITW David Speer Academy by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
