Jackson Morace made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Logan Ledesma also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Even though they lost, Santa Rosa Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Nuview Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of West Valley.
Tobias Olague was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Joshy Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
Nuview Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Santa Rosa Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Santa Rosa Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. Santa Rosa Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Nuview Bridge, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Santa Rosa Academy continue to outrun the ball?
