Sadly, the Shade Panthers are still looking for their first win of the season after 19 matchups. They were outmatched by Blacklick Valley at home and fell 75-29. Shade was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blacklick Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaydence Killinger, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Killinger is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kristin Szymusiak, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Shade dropped their record down to 0-19 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Blacklick Valley, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shade will face off against McConnellsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Blacklick Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Harmony Area at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Blacklick Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 695 points over their last 11 matches.
