The El Diamante Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Justin Garza with a sharp 63-43 victory on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for El Diamante as they're now sitting on three straight.
El Diamante's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Neveah Creason, who scored 15 points. The match was Creason's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reyna Soto, who scored 14 points.
El Diamante's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Justin Garza, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
El Diamante will head out on the road to face off against Hanford West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hanford West comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Justin Garza will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Palo Verde at 9:00 a.m. on December 18th. Palo Verde presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Justin Garza in their respective states (Palo Verde is ranked 32nd in Nevada, while Justin Garza is ranked 477th in California).
