Northgate has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Campolindo Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northgate and the Cougars are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
Last Wednesday, Northgate took a serious blow against the Dons, falling 62-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northgate has scored all season.
Northgate's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Amelia Schrag, who scored seven points along with five rebounds, and Ava Nicolas who scored seven points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Hana Neuman, who scored four points.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Campolindo over the Wolves in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Campolindo took down the Wolves 62-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Campolindo.
Northgate dropped their record down to 17-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Campolindo, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-12.
Northgate strolled past the Cougars in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 42-27. Does Northgate have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
