It's playoff time, and Buford had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Chapel Hill Panthers with a sharp 9-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Wolves have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Buford is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-18.

Buford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
