After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cherokee Bluff, Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes with a sharp 13-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jefferson's record is now 11-12. As for Monroe Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Jefferson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Purple Hurricanes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
