The Middle Creek Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Sanderson Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Middle Creek had won two straight road games and Cameron Gerber did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 victory over Holly Springs with plenty of help from Gerber, who had 23 digs and six aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
The win didn't come easy: Holly Springs scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-22, 25-18.
Middle Creek found their leader in sophomore Gerber, who had 23 digs and six aces. Addison Davis also served an ace, marking her first of the season.
Middle Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sanderson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Felton Grove on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Spartans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 27th (when they won 3-0).
Sanderson was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.
Middle Creek better focus on containing Mireya Chavez and Emma Webster as the pair were huge in Sanderson's win. Chavez had 34 digs, while Webster had 12 digs. That's the most digs Chavez has posted over her last six matches.
Middle Creek's record is now 9-5. As for Sanderson, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-12.
Middle Creek took their victory against Sanderson in their previous matchup on September 11th by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
