This season hasn't been kind to the Galeton Tigers, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were beaten by North Penn-Liberty 58-17 on Saturday. Galeton has not had much luck with North Penn-Liberty recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Galeton still got an impressive performance from Addison Reigle, who scored eight points. Reigle scored a full 47.1% of Galeton's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
North Penn-Liberty got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Haley Litzelman out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Litzelman also posted eight assists for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Graham, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Galeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Penn-Liberty, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galeton will take on Coudersport at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Penn-Liberty, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Sayre at 7:30 p.m. Sayre is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
