While Claremont's win against Montebello wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolfpack narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Oilers 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 last Wednesday.

Claremont let Aiden Leslie and Ramzey Farah run wild. Leslie scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Farah went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Leslie also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Claremont's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7-1. As for Montebello, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.

Coming up, Claremont will challenge Glendora at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Wolfpack's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Montebello, they will welcome Bell Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Oilers are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
