The Tulelake Honkers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Happy Camp 43-26 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Tulelake, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Tulelake found their leader in underclassman Alejandra Perez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perez has scored all season. Kayla Frey was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Tulelake's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Happy Camp, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Tulelake will face off against Surprise Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Happy Camp, they will be playing at home against Dunsmuir at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
