Several Mighty Elephants players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayla Robinson, who scored nine points.
Roxborough got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylah Holmes out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Inaya Staten was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Math Civics & Sciences' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Roxborough, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Math Civics & Sciences will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Thomas A. Edison at 3:15 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Roxborough, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
