Omaha Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bryan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Eagles will square off against the Bears at 11:00 a.m. Omaha Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Omaha Central's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Burke as they made off with a 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Ada Jantzen was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August. Macy Andrews was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Omaha Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bryan lost 12-2 to Buena Vista on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Bison: they've now lost three in a row.
Bryan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nat Arens, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Omaha Central, they moved to 10-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Omaha Central has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Bryan struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
