The Terra Nova Tigers will challenge the More Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Terra Nova 3.5, More 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Terra Nova is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Head-Royce just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 10-4 to the Jayhawks. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this game were averaging 3.55 runs allowed.
Terra Nova saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Speidel, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Another was Brody Finale, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, More entered their tilt with Summit Shasta on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Black Bears. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.
Vinny Selway was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. Selway was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for More: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-10 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Selway, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Gabe Detar was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Terra Nova's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for More, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Terra Nova got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against More by a conclusive 10-3 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
