Even though the Simi Valley Pioneers have not done well against the Royal Highlanders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Simi Valley took their game at home with ease, bagging a 55-24 victory over Royal. With Simi Valley ahead 38-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Sahasra Anne, who scored nine points.
Simi Valley pushed their record up to 7-13 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Royal, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Coincidentally, Simi Valley and Royal will both be playing Oak Park the next time they take the court. Simi Valley will host Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Royal will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
