Wyoming Area is 10-0 against MMI Preparatory School since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Saturday. The Wyoming Area Warriors will head out on the road to  take on  MMI Preparatory School at 1:00  p.m. Wyoming Area is hoping to put an end to  a 12-game streak of away losses.
 Wyoming Area suffered their biggest  defeat since December 18, 2023 on Wednesday. They suffered a  rough 33-9 defeat at the hands of Wyoming Seminary College Prep. While losing is never fun, Wyoming Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings  (they are ranked 532nd, while Wyoming Seminary College Prep is ranked 177th).
  Shannon Kearns was Wyoming Area's leading scorer, having posted six points.
 Meanwhile, MMI Preparatory School strolled past Notre Dame with  points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game  45-30. The  victory was just what MMI Preparatory School needed coming off of a  54-23 defeat in their prior  matchup.
  Bria Kringe was  her usual excellent self,  scoring 30 points along with three  steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of MMI Preparatory School's points. Another player making a difference was  Cassidy McDermott, who  scored two points along with 11  rebounds and six  steals.
 Wyoming Area has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost four of their last five games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for MMI Preparatory School, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
This contest  is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor:  Wyoming Area  have been smashing the glass this season,  having  only  averaged 28.1  rebounds per game. However, it's not like MMI Preparatory School struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 28.6  rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Wyoming Area strolled past MMI Preparatory School in their previous meeting  back in December of 2023 by a score of  40-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wyoming Area since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
