Alhambra won the last time they faced San Gabriel and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Moors blew past the Matadors 11-1. The Moors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Nero Navarro was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Marc Hernandez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Alhambra's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for San Gabriel, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Alhambra will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Matadors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
