The Tussey Mountain Titans struggled with offensive rebounds on Thursday (the Everett Warriors had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Tussey Mountain fell 48-39 to Everett. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tussey Mountain of the 42-39 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Tussey Mountain lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adyson Weyandt, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Weyandt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Weaver, who scored 12 points.
It was another big night for Cloe Price, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds for Everett. That makes it four consecutive games in which Price has scored at least a third of Everett's points. Jade Colledge was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Tussey Mountain has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Everett, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-6.
Tussey Mountain will be playing at home against Forbes Road at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Tussey Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday. Everett's road trip will continue as they head out to face Williamsburg at 3:45 p.m. on February 16th. Williamsburg will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Everett surely won't give up without a fight.
