Bishop Manogue's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Mann, who threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Mann a new career-high in passer rating (163.8). Amir McGruder helped Mann out on the ground, rushing for 78 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 32 receiving yards and one score.
Bishop Manogue was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards in 17 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Spanish Springs got themselves on the board against Douglas on Friday, but Douglas never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 42-0. Considering the Cougars have won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Spanish Springs' win came from a few key players Bishop Manogue will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyson McNeil, who threw for 287 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75.8% of his passes. He has been hot, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cooper Milligan, who gained 148 total yards.
Bishop Manogue's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Spanish Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
