The Gridley Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Corning Cardinals, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Gridley walked away with a 36-24 win over Corning. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gridley.
Leading Gridley to victory were Kirsten Muzzy and Brook Marr. Muzzy scored four points along with five rebounds, while Marr dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Marr's 17th in a row with at least ten points.
Gridley now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Corning, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gridley will take on Orland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orland and Gridley are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Corning, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oroville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oroville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
