The Kimball Knights will face off against the Sulphur Springs Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Kimball's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
Sulphur Springs' offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Kimball hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. The Knights simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat North Dallas 52-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Knights just coasted through the last quarter.

Kimball got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Charles McCuin out in front who rushed for 140 yards and three scores on only ten carries. The Knights are 6-1 when McCuin posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Javion Broussard did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 131 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Kimball was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Kimball's defense and their five sacks. Quintraylon Johnson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself. Another thorn in North Dallas' side was Johnson, who picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Sulphur Springs challenged Panther Creek on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 20-13. The score was all tied up 10-10 at the break, but the Wildcats were the (much) better team in the second half.
Sulphur Springs' win came from a few key players Kimball will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaxson Haire, who rushed for 114 yards.
Kimball pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.5 points over those games. As for Sulphur Springs, their record now sits at 9-1.
Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Kimball has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 157.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Sulphur Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 153.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
