Beatrice faced Elkhorn in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Orangemen put the hurt on the Antlers with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Orangemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Beatrice got a massive performance out of Sadie Hereth, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Schwisow, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Beatrice hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.
Beatrice's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-4.
