They came out on top against Ridgemont by a score of 40-28 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Upper Scioto Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Upper Scioto Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brielle Cotterman, who scored nine points along with 21 rebounds. Cotterman is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Hunsicker, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Upper Scioto Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Ridgemont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.
Upper Scioto Valley will be playing at home against Arlington at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Ridgemont's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ridgedale at 10:00 a.m. on January 20th.
