The St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints were the 69-40 winner over the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes took a hard 58-39 fall against Georgetown Day on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 260th in Virginia, while Georgetown Day is ranked first in District of Columbia).
Madisyn Moore had an outrageously good game for Georgetown Day as she scored 30 points along with 5 steals. The game was Moore's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Chen, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Georgetown Day, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' road trip will continue as they head out to face Mercersburg Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Georgetown Day, they will take on Grace Brethren Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
