The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Columbus for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-24 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Lincoln Southwest sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kennadi Williams was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Throener, who scored eight points.
Lincoln Southwest pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Columbus, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Coincidentally, Lincoln Southwest and Columbus will both be playing Norfolk the next time they take the court. Columbus will host Norfolk at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, while Lincoln Southwest will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
