Quincy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Williams on Friday. The Trojans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Yellowjackets a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jake Thackeray was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Noah Wade was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The victory (which was Quincy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Williams, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Quincy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
