The Great Bridge Wildcats's six-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They walked away with a 50-43 win over Currituck County. That looming 50-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Great Bridge yet this season.
Despite the loss, Currituck County still got an impressive performance from Luke Morgan, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 25 rebounds. The game was Morgan's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Jamie Dance was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Great Bridge's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-5. As for Currituck County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.
Great Bridge will head out on the road to face off against Oscar Smith at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Currituck County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washington County at 3:30 p.m. on December 27th.
