The Oroville Tigers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 42-23 win over Corning on Friday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Oroville has managed all season.
Oroville was led to victory by Lili Kelemen and Leila Jackson. Kelemen scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and four steals, while Jackson scored 18 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.
Oroville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-13 record this season. As for Corning, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Oroville will head out on the road to take on Gridley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gridley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Corning will take on Las Plumas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
