Albany waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Oakland Tech Bulldogs. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Jude Hatamiya tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Magnus Williams and Willem Loveless did most of the damage at the plate: Williams scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Loveless scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Loveless is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston McGowen, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Albany's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Oakland Tech, their loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albany will venture away from home to face off against Las Lomas at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakland Tech, they will head out to square off against Oakland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
