On Monday, San Gabriel Academy took a serious blow against Temple City, falling 59-21. San Gabriel Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.
Kristi Huynh continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Temple City, scoring 24 points along with six steals. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Chau, who scored 17 points.
San Gabriel Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.3 points per game. As for Temple City, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
San Gabriel Academy and Lucerne Valley will round out the year against one another at 10:30 a.m. on December 28th at. Temple City will be home for the holidays to greet Santiago at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santiago is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
