The Garces Memorial Rams will challenge the Righetti Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Garces Memorial will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Garces Memorial's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Highland by a score of 3-0. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Rams have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Carter Flachmann tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Garces Memorial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Graves, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Righetti). They blew past Marshall 14-5 on Friday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Nathan Lancor looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.
On the hitting side, Righetti got a massive performance out of Noah Kesner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Kesner has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Zander Andersen, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Righetti was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.
Righetti now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Garces Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Garces Memorial has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Righetti struggles in that department as they've averaged .486. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
