The Northern York Polar Bears will head out on the road to face off against the James Buchanan Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northern York has five straight victories, James Buchanan has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Northern York has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Waynesboro on Friday as Northern York made off with a 48-26 win.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-22, which was the final score in James Buchanan's tilt against Greencastle-Antrim on Friday. James Buchanan has not had much luck with Greencastle-Antrim recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Northern York's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for James Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Northern York was able to grind out a solid victory over James Buchanan when the teams last played back in January, winning 62-50. Will Northern York repeat their success, or does James Buchanan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
