Having just played yesterday, the Mary Star of the Sea Stars will jump right back in to play the Carson Colts at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Mary Star of the Sea is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Wednesday, Mary Star of the Sea was the victim of a tough 62-36 defeat at the hands of Bravo. While losing is never fun, Mary Star of the Sea can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1153rd, while Bravo is ranked 543rd).
Meanwhile, Carson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by West 56-19. Carson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.
