The Dunsmuir Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Happy Camp 56-23. Dunsmuir was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Happy Camp apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Dunsmuir's loss came despite strong showings from Cyla Clemens and Grasie Hunt. Clemens scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Hunt scored four points along with three steals. That was a full 47.8% of Dunsmuir's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Dunsmuir's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Happy Camp, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Dunsmuir will be playing in front of their home fans against Tulelake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Happy Camp, they will head out on the road to face off against Hayfork at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
