In what's become a running theme this season, the Clarion Area Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 55-19 win over Keystone. Clarion Area pushed the score to 49-16 by the end of the third, a deficit Keystone had no chance of recovering from.
Clarion Area found their leader in underclassman Marley Kline, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kline has scored all season. Taylor Alston was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Clarion Area is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Keystone, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarion Area will square off against DuBois Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Keystone, they will head out on the road to challenge Cranberry Area at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Keystone is facing Cranberry Area at the right time seeing as Cranberry Area is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
