Totino-Grace (Fridley, Minn.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter to seal a 28-6 victory over
Spring Lake Park (Minn.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Mason Kaliszewski in the first quarter, the Eagles led 14-0 at the half.
Totino-Grace saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to eight entering the fourth.
The loss snapped the Panthers' 9-game winning streak.
TG's most effective player was
Kai Barber. The junior ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Spring Lake Park's lone touchdown came on a run in the third quarter.
The Fridley school came into the game allowing 9.4 points per game. The six points that SLP ended with were well below its average of 33.0 coming into the game.
The Eagles also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 20-7.
The loss comes after Spring Lake Park defeated Andover 27-26 last week.
